What’s New for the 2024 Honda CR-V?
The ever-popular Honda CR-V launched its sixth generation in 2023 with a full redesign. However, this has not kept Honda from continuing to elevate the CR-V. In 2024, the CR-V’s trim lineup expands with the introduction of the Sport-L trim. The new lineup includes the LX, EX, Sport, EX-L, Sport-L, and Sport Touring. This new trim level features the hybrid powertrain, dark exterior accents, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, two rear USB ports, a 9-inch central display screen, low-speed auto braking, parking sensors, a wireless charging pad, driver’s side memory settings, leather upholstery, a power liftgate and wireless connectivity for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
The LX, EX, and EX-L trims are loaded with a four-cylinder, turbocharged 1.5-liter engine. This system produces 190 horsepower and includes a CVT and front-wheel drive. All-wheel drive is available for these trims as an upgrade. The other 2024 CR-V trims have a four-cylinder hybrid system that generates 204 combined horsepower. This system includes standard all-wheel drive.
Because the 2023 CR-V benefited from a complete exterior refresh, no design changes are introduced in 2024. This Honda crossover has modern appeal with slanted pinstripe accents across the hood and side panels. The sides are also dressed up with a thick bar of below-the-belt molding. The front bumper is short and reaches out to highlight the sporty air vents. The headlights sit at a confident angle and are topped by a thick bar of LED light. They link to the bold, upturned grille.
The 2024 CR-V’s base trim level is well-equipped with features like Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a push-button ignition, a 7-inch touch display screen, lane keeping, forward collision mitigation, adaptive cruise control, and others. In addition to the features already mentioned for the new Sport-L trim, some of the features available in the CR-V’s higher trims are a heated steering wheel, a Bose sound system, a hands-free liftgate, ambient cabin lights, a blind-spot warning, and a moonroof.
