What’s New for the 2024 Honda Prologue?
The 2024 Honda Prologue SUV is an all-new electric vehicle in the lineup, and it pulls together contemporary styling, solid performance, and the latest features for an unbeatable driving experience. The Prologue uses GM’s Ultium batteries and its BEV3 platform, also used in several Chevrolet and Cadillac EVs today. This SUV will be available with two powertrain configurations. The single-motor system has front-wheel drive and offers a 296-mile range. The dual-motor system has all-wheel drive and a 288-mile range.
The exterior of the 2024 Prologue is designed to get noticed on the road with its bold front-end style and powerful yet contemporary stance. The hood and sides are remarkably smooth, and the sides show character with modestly defined rear fenders and lower-body molding. The hood is flat with a raked rear window and a power liftgate. At the front, the glossy black grille is short and extends outward to connect with the LED-accented headlights cohesively.
The Prologue’s long wheelbase supports a spacious cabin and 25.2 cubic feet of cargo space. The dashboard carries the contemporary style introduced on the exterior, combining long, clean design lines and a pair of floating digital display screens. Specifically, these are an 11-inch driver’s instrumentation screen and a second 11.3-inch touch display screen for the navigation system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and other tech. The Prologue also has a head-up display, voice commands, heated seats, a push-button ignition, an auto climate control system, and other equipment.
From a safety perspective, the 2024 Prologue EV is equally impressive. Its standard or available safety technologies include a rear pedestrian alert, blind-spot detection with steering assistance, rear cross-traffic detection and braking, lane-keeping assistance, and adaptive cruise control.
2024 Honda Prologue EV Tax Credit
Honda’s inaugural electric SUV, the Prologue, comes with an enticing offer for prospective shoppers in the form of the full $7,500 EV tax credit provided by the U.S. government.
According to a recent press release by the automaker, this federal tax credit applies to all 2024 Prologues manufactured after February 26, 2024, with all leased 2024 Prologues also being eligible.
The announcement of the Prologue’s eligibility for the tax credit comes approximately six weeks after Honda indicated that it aimed for a March debut of the electric vehicle on the market.
Described by Honda as a “spacious, adventure-ready” midsize SUV, the Prologue boasts an impressive range of nearly 300 miles on a fully-charged battery.
Available in three distinct trims – EX, Touring, and Elite – the Prologue offers flexibility with both two-wheel and all-wheel drive configurations for the EX and Touring models. At the same time, the Elite variant is exclusively equipped with all-wheel drive, according to Honda.
