For 2022 and 2021, this engines comes standard on the Civic LX and Civic Sport models. All higher 2022 Civic trims receive a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that creates 180 horsepower. For 2021, the higher Civic trims also utilized this engine, but the power increase only bumped up to 174 horsepower.
Appearance
In a side-by-side comparison, you can easily differentiate the 2021 Civic from the 2022 Civic. The 2021 version has a long, thin grille integrated with triangular headlights. It also has a sleek, forward-trending profile with a sharp angle down the rear window. The 2022 Civic has a redesigned front end. The grille is relatively similar, and LED-outlined headlights cap it. The lower front fascia and the profile have been reshaped for 2022. You will also notice a more linear definition on the 2022 Civic’s sides for a sophisticated look.
