2023 Honda CR-V vs 2023 Honda Pilot
Serving Brighton, MI
The Honda CR-V and the Honda Pilot have been completely redesigned for the 2023 model year. In addition to refreshing the styles, these changes introduce new features and other exciting changes. While the two-row CR-V and the three-row Pilot have notable similarities, they are enormously different in essential areas. How do these revamped Honda models compare?
Performance
The 2023 CR-V is available with several powertrain options. The base trim draws 190 horsepower from a turbo 1.5-liter, four-cylinder engine, which is mated to a CVT. Higher-level trims receive 204 combined horsepower from a hybrid four-cylinder, 2.0-liter engine. Most CR-V trims have front-wheel or optional all-wheel drive. The top Sport Touring trim has standard all-wheel drive. All trims for the 2023 Honda Pilot pull 285 horsepower from a V6, 3.5-liter engine. This is paired with a 10-speed auto transmission. While most trims give you the option between front-wheel and all-wheel drive, all-wheel drive is standard in the TrailSport and Elite versions.
Appearance
The CR-V’s new look for 2023 is easy on the eyes, with long curves across the profile and a forward-trending angle on the sides. The lower sides are supported by a thick bar of black molding. The front end shows the CR-V’s sporty side with a wide, black lower fascia and body-colored vents. The grille has a linear-style mesh pattern and integrates with slender, LED-enhanced headlights. The 2023 Pilot is a larger model with boxier dimensions. Like the CR-V, its sides are decorated with black molding. The grille and headlights are larger, but they are similar in shape. The Pilot’s headlights are underscored with an LED lighting element. The lower fascia is black with a striking metal accent, and the air vents are larger and more commanding.
Features
The Pilot and the CR-V have many comparable features. These include rain-sensing wipers, a hands-free liftgate, a wireless charging pad, a heated steering wheel, a navigation system, smart device app connectivity, heated seats, memory functions for the driver’s seat, leather upholstery, adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assistance, forward collision avoidance, ambient lighting and more. The 2023 Honda Pilot also has a few additional features, including a traffic jam assist, three rows of seats, a tri-zone climate control system, remote access, a driver attention warning, a programmable liftgate, and others.
